Male Koi Galaxy Halfmoon Plakat (Betta Splendens)

These fish originate from Asia, where they are prized for their unique visual appeal due to koi-style patterning with shimmering speckles that resemble galaxies made up of metallic iridescent scales.

They become more vivid as they age and due to the galaxy "jumping gene", this leads to some very interesting colour combinations

Water Quality: Keep ammonia and nitrites at zero. pH 6.0 to 8.0.

Lifespan: 3 to 5 years if well cared for.

Avoid Bowls: Small bowls lack proper heating or filtration, leading to disease.
