Black Orchid Mustard Gas Crowntail (Betta Splendens)

This elegant betta is easily recognised by its spiky fins and deep black body with blue/green iridescent highlights and a yellow/orange rim of colour in the tail.

Very desirable to collectors due to it's changing appearance. One minute the fish just looks like a Black Crowntail until it stops and spreads its finnage displaying all of its beauty.

They can grow to 6-7 cm and can be very territorial so we suggest keeping these solitary.

Like most long-fin bettas, the Black Orchid Mustard Gas Crowntail is prone to fin rot and should be kept in pristine water conditions to ensure their fins stay in top shape.

Feeding them high protein foods will help encourage fins to stay straight and spiky.
