Betta Antuta (Betta sp. Antuta/Bulungan)
These beautiful wild betta are native to Bulungan regency in north Kalimantan, Borneo, Indonesia and prefer clean water not black water.
They live in streams and rivers with lots of cover and plant material where they hide and ambush their prey.
They are true "giants" and can grow up to 5 inches with ease.
Their head is snake-like and dragon-like bodily scales make them visually very striking.
Males are highly territorial and because of this we recommend a species only tank with plenty of plants, caves and floating plants to mimic their natural environment.
Males brood fry in their mouth for up-to 2 weeks and will defend them with ferocity
