Silver Arowana ( 7-8cm ) ( Osteoglossum Bichirrhosus)
Characteristics
Juvenile Arowana are fascinating fish with a long slender body and shining silver scales. They move effortlessly through the water with a snake-like motion, ready to ambush prey that swims too close.
Aquarium Requirements
They require at least a 60 gallon aquarium but be prepared to use a bigger tank as they can grow up to 2 inches per month! They are ferocious eaters and because of this they require very strong filtration systems to avoid water fouling. They are also renowned jumpers - up to 3 meters in the wild. A good tight fitting weighted lid is recommended.

Water Temperature 24-29℃
pH levels 5.0 to 7.5 ( as close to 6 as possible is preferred)

At home you can feed your arowana on a mixture of frozen and live foods. We suggest using feeder fish like minnows, frozen silver side, live and frozen blood worms, earthworms , crab shrimps and crickets are all easily accepted by these fish
