Giant Koi Betta Halfmoon Plakat (Betta Splendens)
These Bettas originate from Southeast Asia - Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam but can now be found in other countries due to imports and selective breeding.
They come in a vast array of colours and tail types, with breeders selecting only the biggest, most colourful betta to breed new and exciting strains.
Males typically reach sizes of 5 inches but can exceed this, sometimes up to 7 inches.
Females are smaller, around 2 to 3 inches but can reach up to 5 inches in optimal conditions.
They are often more active and slightly less aggressive than some of the smaller Bettas, making them a desirable addition for collectors and breeders alike.
