Terms & Conditions: Broadheath Bettas
1. About Us
Broadheath Bettas is a UK-based seller of ornamental fish, other livestock and accessories. All fish are personally selected and sold as individual livestock items.
2. Product Information
2.1 Each betta fish is listed individually with photographs and descriptions.
2.2 Images shown are of the actual fish for sale unless otherwise stated.
2.3 As live animals, slight changes in colour, finnage, or behaviour may occur after listing.
3. Ordering & Payment
3.1 All orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
3.2 Orders are confirmed once payment has been received.
3.3 We reserve the right to cancel and refund any order at our discretion.
4. Delivery & Shipping
4.1 Fish are shipped via a specialist courier service within the UK.
4.2 Dispatch days are typically Monday to Wednesday to avoid delays over weekends.
4.3 Customers must ensure someone is available to receive the delivery on the first attempt.
4.4 It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate delivery details.
5. Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
5.1 We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee provided that:
• Delivery is accepted on the first attempt
• The parcel is opened immediately upon arrival
• Clear photographic evidence is provided within 1 hour of delivery
5.2 In the unlikely event of a DOA (dead on arrival), customers must:
• Provide clear photos of the fish in the unopened bag
• Provide photos of the shipping label
5.3 If approved, we will offer either:
• A replacement (if available), or
• A refund of the fish (excluding shipping costs)
5.4 The guarantee is void if:
• Delivery is missed or delayed by the customer
• Incorrect shipping details are provided
• The fish is not acclimatised correctly
6. Acclimatisation & Care
6.1 Customers are responsible for proper acclimatisation of fish upon arrival.
6.2 We strongly recommend following our provided care guidance.
6.3 We are not responsible for losses due to improper care, tank conditions, or incompatibility with other fish.
7. Returns & Refunds
7.1 Due to the nature of live fish, returns are not accepted.
7.2 Refunds are only issued under the Live Arrival Guarantee conditions outlined above.
8. Customer Responsibility
8.1 By purchasing, you confirm that:
• You have a suitable, cycled aquarium
• You understand basic betta fish care requirements
8.2 We reserve the right to refuse sale if we believe the fish may be at risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Broadheath Bettas shall not be liable for:
• Any indirect or consequential losses
• Losses arising from misuse or improper care
9.2 Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the fish.
10. Privacy
10.1 Customer information is used solely for order processing and delivery.
